History of Sears Houses in Massapequa Park
The history behind the Sears houses in Massapequa Park is pretty fascinating and fairly unique. Most, if not all, of the houses were built with the involvement of two separate development groups developing two different sections of the Village.
- The Early Sears Houses of Massapequa Park: History related to the 1920s era Sears houses built north of the Long Island Railroad.
- Massapequa Park Mystery Solved?: When I first wrote this blog post, I thought I had figured out the story behind the claims of 100 Sears Houses built in Massapequa Park. But as I've done more research, I've found there's more to the story to tell. At some point, I'll follow-up on this post with another chapter to that story.
