Nice bit of national exposure on the NBC nightly news. Your home looks very familiar. We also have a Hamilton model in Rochester and it was also built with a mirror-image plan like yours. The first floor is largely unchanged, except for enclosure of the front porch and opening the kitchen to the dining room area. It's a 1928 model and has a few very subtle differences in hardware and trim.
ReplyDeleteOur house did get an upstairs addition about 7-8 years ago. It was done in a very sympathetic fashion, including duplication of molding and trim.
I've been very impressed with the work you've done in discovering more kit homes and raising overall awareness.
Well done.
