Sears Houses of Massapequa Park, New York - Grand Boulevard

As I outlined in my introduction to the Sears houses of Massapequa Park, New York, the following is a basic list of possible Sears houses located in the Village. There are 14 identifiable Sears houses on Grand Boulevard. These are basic identifications and I have not personally authenticated any of these houses as Sears houses. I'll do updates as more information becomes available about these homes. This list starts at the south end of Grand Boulevard and heads north.

  2. I just wanted to thank you for posting this. I grew up in Massapequa and am a member/contributor to a Facebook group dedicated to the history of our town. As a paper collector (Sears catalogs!) and an old house person, I took note of some of the unusual houses in my old stomping grounds and was doing research when I stumbled upon your blog. I posted a link to this page on our group, and we already have a few members that live in Sears homes (and who know the history of their homes) telling their stories. I hope some of them follow the link here, and add to your database! Thanks again!

  3. Thank you! Awesome work! We are 77 Grand Blvd. An Elsmore that the first owner (we are the 3rd) obviously updated. Living in the Village, on Grand, really is Grand. Jerelyn

    1. Wow! I never would have guessed there was an Elsmore hiding back there. How did you learn it was a Sears house?

  4. I owned the 202 Grand Blvd house from 2000-2017. Thanks for posting pics. I was always enamored with 69 Grand. It’s such a lovely house. Loved driving up that blvd. Always so many of the Sears houses to look at on one street!:)

    1. Not too many streets in the US where you can see so many "grand" examples of Sears houses!
